If people have to go to work and they are all at work together at Ẓuhr time for example, are they to pray individually or do they pray as a jamāʿah at the workplace?
Answer:
As long as they are all there together and they have to be there and they are gathered anyway, they should go ahead and pray as a jamāʿah and they should not pray each one individually in the same workplace.
The same goes for the people in the home. The family at home is to pray together. If you have a group of men, the father and the sons in the house, all of them have to pray; they do not pray individually. They pray as a jamāʿah in the house. The same goes for colleagues in the workplace, if they are forced to work at these times.
