As A Muslim Can I Work In An Electoral Polling Station In A Non-Muslim Country’s Elections by Shaykh Dr. ʿAbdullah ibn Ṣulfīq aẓ-Ẓafīrī

Pivotal Quote

“No, it is not permissible and it is obligatory upon the Muslims to distance themselves from that voting process. And these so-called democratic countries have brought about no benefit for the Muslims or the non-Muslims. The whole democratic process has not benefited (largely) the societies and many people in the countries that it is established in. It is a select few people that benefit from this system. The masses, no; not the Muslims, not the non-Muslims.

Question:

Some Muslims do not vote but they work at voting centres and oversee the protocol of the procedure of voting, so is this permissible?

Answer:

No, it is not permissible and it is obligatory upon the Muslims to distance themselves from that voting process.

The entire democratic setup is something that is from the Sunnah of the Yahūd [Jews]. Just look at how they are playing with people and playing divide and conquer by setting up these political parties that are at each other’s throats. So they sit back and laugh while people slaughter each other, going at each other physically or otherwise and busy themselves while they pocket the money and run with it.
